Happy Halloween

We are getting very excited about Halloween in the junior room. We have used our Halloween word cauldron to write about our Halloween costumes.

                






We also made some ghastly ghosts and stuck them on the window to frighten everyone who passes by!

Autumn Art

We have made made some lovely autumn art. We use our handprints to make the leaves on our lovely autumn tree. We also collected leaves and used the leaf prints to make the spikes on our hedgehogs :)

Our Hard Work

We have been working very hard so far this term. Junior and Senior Infants have been working particularly hard on their sounds. They have been learning their Jolly Phonics songs, making sound books and writing the letter sounds.

 First and second class have been working particularly hard at maths. They have been revising the pairs that make ten and place value using deans.

Football Blitz

On Friday 30/9/11 the senior infants, first and second class travelled to Stratford with Mrs FitzGerald to take part in a football blitz against Stratford, Rathcoyle and Knockanana. They drew in one match and won the other two matches. Everyone really enjoyed the blitz. Thanks to all the parents who drove.

Welcome Back

Welcome back to school! We had seven new Junior Infants start school on Thursday. A photo of them will appear in the Wicklow People on Wednesday.
