Harvesting Our Incredible Edibles

Today we harvested our incredible edibles. We got lots of potatoes, onions and lettuce. The carrots are not ready yet so we will let them continue growing and pick them in September. The stawberries have been a great success but are not ripe yet.

Incredible Edibles


We have lots of incredible edibles in our school garden. We have planted potatoes, onions, carrots, lettuce and stawberries. Some of the plants are now beginning to sprout!

Easter Egg Cups




We decorated egg cups for Easter. We painted them with lots of different coloured paints and use glitter glues to make them sparkle :)

CRAFTed

The junior room are delighted to participate in the CRAFTed programme. It involves working with Mairead Holohan, a professional craftsperson. She will be helping us in the area of textiles. The junior room will be working on a project about birds and Mairead will help us create some art around this topic. You can learn more about Mairead by checking out her blog:

Clay


We have made some fantastic masterpieces from clay. The Junior and Senior Infants made clay pots and the 1st and 2nd class made hedgehogs!

Science - Energy and Forces



We learned all about forces in SESE. We tested how far a toy car would travel on wood, cardboard, carpet and bubble wrap.
